Description

On his way to Germany in September 1977, Dad saw this unusually-painted C-141 on the ramp at McGuire AFB, New Jersey.  Though the color has been washed out due to the age of the slide, Dad said it was light gray and mint green.  At the time, the USAF was experimenting with more subdued colors; in the case of the Military Airlift Command fleet, it was still common to carry the white over gray scheme.  The camouflaged Europe One scheme would not come out for another three years at this point, so this remains something of a mystery.

67-0021 was later "stretched" into a C-141B, then modified for covert operations as a C-141C.  It was scrapped in 2010 after long years of service.
