Red Arrows Diamond

The Red Arrows put in an appearance at every airshow we went to when we lived in Germany, but in 1980, we got to see them for the first time in the Hawk T.1.  In the years before, the Arrows had been in the Gnat, so seeing them in their new birds was a lot of fun.  Back then, these were brand new aircraft!

The Red Arrows always put on a show, and Dad got a lot of pictures of them in both the Hawk and the Gnat.  So here's the team making a formation pass in the diamond over Sembach AB, with typical German weather (i.e. cloudy and rainy).
