Swiftshot of the Dragonriders

Yet another old picture, and another elf picture, this one of Swiftshot, an archer I had for a few campaigns--beginning with Chaosium's old ElfQuest RPG, and then moving on to D&D.

Given that the ElfQuest game had rules for making your own elf clan, I came up with the Dragonriders--a group of plains-dwelling elves that had bonded with dragons in much the same way Wolfriders bonded with their wolves. They also practiced ritual tattooing, much like the yakuza of Japan. (That means Swiftshot's tattoo here would be done in the traditional manner, with bamboo and ink. Ouch.)

Since it's a full body tat, I naturally drew her nude to show off the whole thing. I think I did this back in 1998 thereabouts. I was definitely inspired by some of Chris Achilleos' work, along with the description of Shin Yodama from the "Blood of Kerensky" Battletech novels, along with a whiff of Crying Freeman.
